🍀Happy St. Patrick’s Day 🍀 It’s been a rough day. I’ve cried so many tears that I had to heavily filter this picture. But I had on my green. After all, it was her favorite color.

I got this tattoo when I started drafting In the Gray, knowing what writing and publishing this story would mean for me. Facing demons I’d been running from for years. Unearthing secrets that had been long since buried. Telling the truth to people I lied to time and time again. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, and it proved to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Still, it was the only way I could ever truly turn the page and put that chapter of my life behind me.

Just because you can’t see someone’s scars, doesn’t mean they don’t exist. . Just because you can’t hear their pain, doesn’t mean they don’t feel it. . Just because they choose to focus on the light, doesn’t mean they don’t know darkness.
